Biography of Gabriel Bennet
With a solid international academic background and over thirty years of comprehensive work experience, Gabriel has directed significant finance, management, and business transformation initiatives within multinational organisations. His professional expertise encompasses mergers and acquisitions, the advancement of digital transformation through state-of-the-art ERP systems, and the redesign of processes to establish fully integrated and forward-looking business and finance solutions. Gabriel was born in Sweden, has worked internationally the last 35 years and is based together with his family in Switzerland. He has managed highly demanding executive management positions in international firms, combining the challenging and equally rewarding task of raising a family together with his wife and with the youngest son with severe epilepsy. Charity and helping other senior executives managing and balancing their work with private life, is something Gabriel is passionate about.
Bennet&Beyond GmbH and Beyond Advisory GmbH (2027 - ): Co-founder of these two firms, currently at a planning stage and starting the operations fully in 2027, which is a new exiting chapter of supporting firms, individuals and charities in shaping a brighter future.
EF Education First (2023 - 2026): Gabriel served as Group Chief Financial Officer, being responsible for Finance, Legal, Tax, Global IT, and Global Services, leading a major system and finance transformation including Oracle Fusion implementation and outsourcing initiatives.
Oriflame (2005 - 2023): Served as Chief Financial Officer overseeing finance, legal, tax, IT, manufacturing (from 2018), investor relations, and external affairs. Together with Group Management, led business transformation from offline to online social selling and geographic diversification; responsible for the finance and technology transformation; managed company privatization and crisis response during Russia/Ukraine conflict.
SCA Hygiene - today part of Essity (1992 - 2005): Gabriel held multiple financial and managerial positions including the roles as Managing Director for AFH Tissue Division UK, Vice President Finance (Head of Finance) for the global professional hygiene business (AFH Tissue with the global brand Tork). He was part of the M&A team representing financial and business plans, leading acquisitions, integrations, cost restructuring, and business process re-engineering.
Other experiences and early career: Board member of Smedbo AB and Human Care Group AB. Working career started as as consultant for IMPAC S.A. (Switzerland) in 2002, focusing on process analysis and cost savings. Before that served in the Swedish Military and summer assistant at SEB in Malmö, Sweden.
Education: Master of Science in Business Administration (Magister equivalent level) and Economy Governance studies in 1992, at University of Lund (Holger Crafoord Centre), Sweden. Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration (major in Organization and Management and minor in History) in 1991, Gustavus Adolphus College, USA.
